Over three decades, our core values have shaped a supportive and creative environment that emphasizes employee engagement, technical excellence, and strong customer relationships. </span></p>\n<p><span>To learn more about who we are and what it’s like to work at GeoSpectrum, we invite you to watch our company video by visiting </span><span><a href=\"http://www.geospectrum.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.geospectrum.ca</a></span>.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Financial Operations &amp; Reporting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, ensuring accurate and timely results.</li>\n<li>Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and insightful variance analyses.</li>\n<li>Maintain and evolve accounting policies in line with applicable Canadian accounting standards.</li>\n<li>Support organizational risk management through sound financial practices.</li>\n<li>Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline finance processes and reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Compliance, Controls &amp; Audit</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, and statutory reporting obligations.</li>\n<li>Lead the annual audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.</li>\n<li>Support enterprise risk management and adherence to corporate governance requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Budgeting, Forecasting &amp; Analysis</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Play a key role in annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycles.</li>\n<li>Deliver meaningful financial analysis and insights to support informed decision making.</li>\n<li>Monitor performance, highlight trends, and recommend corrective actions where needed.</li>\n<li>Partner with department leaders on cost management and resource planning initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Systems &amp; Process Improvement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own and optimize financial systems, including ERP, payroll, expense management, and reporting tools.</li>\n<li>Lead or support finance system upgrades and implementations.</li>\n<li>Document, refine, and scale accounting processes to support organizational growth.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Business Partnership</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior leadership.</li>\n<li>Support key business initiatives such as acquisitions, new contracts, pricing strategies, and capital investments.</li>\n<li>Provide timely and thoughtful financial analysis for executives and the board as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</span></li>\n<li><span>CPA designation.</span></li>\n<li><span>7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.</span></li>\n<li><span>Experience in a mid-sized organization (approximately $100M–$500M revenue).</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong expertise in full</span><span>‑</span><span>cycle accounting and financial reporting.</span></li>\n<li><span>Proven experience managing audits and working with external advisors.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Security Requirements</span></p>\n<p>All candidates must be eligible to apply for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-weight: bold\">Total Rewards </span></p>\n<p>We recognize that our people are our most valuable asset.
