Description

The school-based mental health program works in partnership with many local schools to provide on-site counseling and support. The program serves students of all ages, from pre-k through 12th grade, with a mental health diagnosis and in need of support that goes beyond the scope of what the school can provide. The school-based counseling program offers behavioral health assessments, diagnostic verifications, service plan development sessions, individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, community support, case management, and psychiatric services. CHRIS 180 Therapists work closely with the caregivers of students being served. They also work closely with school administration and teachers, to provide psychoeducation about diagnoses and offer strategies for how to manage behaviors in the school environment. Roles & Responsibilities The primary duties include but are not limited to the following: · Supervision and Support of School-Based Staff o Screen, interview, select, and train school-based counseling staff via new hire process o Provide ongoing oversight and guidance to school-based counseling staff o Promote positive working relationships amongst the school-based staff o Assist Directors and Vice President with ensuring adequate staffing is maintained at all schools throughout the year o Participate in the evaluation of staff members and provide direction for growth and development, at 90 days and again at the time of annual evaluation o Collaborate with clinical supervisors, co Clinical Program Managers, Directors, and Community Behavior Aide supervisor to ensure that adequate support is given to all school-based staff and clients · Administrative Oversight o Be available to attend school-based counseling and related meetings with districts, principals, and other designees as needed o Remain up to date on current school specific and district wide policies o Assist Directors and Vice President with periodically reviewing/revising school-based counseling program policies o Collect programmatic data for each school and maintain system for tracking all measures needed for grant reporting o Provide data summaries to Directors on a monthly basis, or as requested · Clinical Requirements o Complete diagnostic verifications via Telehealth and in the community o Provide clinical supervision for board licensure to associate-level staff if eligible o Be willing to help with behavioral health assessments and other client check-ins as needed, specifically when terminations occur o Remain up to date on all clinical and administrative policies of CHRIS 180 in general and specifically, as it relates to school-based work o Attendance at assigned school at least two days per week to provide clinical services to assigned clients including but not limited to Behavioral Health Assessments, Diagnostic Assessments, individual and family therapy, or CSI services utilizing evidence-based practices o Submit all documentation in a timely manner in accordance with CHRIS 180 policies o Maintain chart compliance in accordance with DBHDD and Medicaid standards · Performance and Conduct o Maintain confidentiality of client information o Maintain appropriate professional boundaries o Follow the CHRIS 180 Code of Ethics o Follow mandated reporting requirements of GA Code o Support and maintain an environment of emotional and physical safety for clients, staff and other stakeholders at all times · Demonstrate Customer Service o Promote positive image of CHRIS 180 programs at all times o Work as a contributing and collaborative team member o Respond to client and peer needs in a timely fashion o Answer telephone calls and emails accordingly o Respond to requests for information from stakeholders in a timely fashion · Maintain Personal Information and Training o Attend and participate in staff meetings as scheduled o Attend and participate in required trainings as scheduled o Maintain required certifications o Review, understand and responsible to program policies o Provide documents in a timely fashion to Human Resources o Report changes in status to HR as required by policy TOTAL REWARDS for CHRIS 180 · Competitive Salary · Competitive 403 (b) benefit defined contribution plan. · Healthcare insurance options including HMO or PPO · Dental and vision insurance options · Short term disability paid by CHRIS 180 · Basic life insurance 1x times your salary · Employee assistance program · Flexible spending account · 11 paid holidays · PTO · Discounted college tuition for select colleges and universities · Hybrid/ in-office schedule based on department needs.
