    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Painter-Decorator / Carpenter / Skilled Construction Laborer / Painter–Drywall Taper</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>In accordance with the standards established by the New York State Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program, Renu Contracting &amp; Restoration is recruiting apprentices for the following trades:</p>\n<p><br>• Painter-Decorator<br>• Carpenter<br>• Skilled Construction Laborer<br>• Painter–Drywall Taper</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Locations</span></p>\n<p><br>Projects may be located throughout:</p>\n<p><br>• Nassau &amp; Suffolk Counties (Long Island)<br>• New York City<br>• Hudson Valley Region</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Program Details</span></p>\n<p><br>• Approximate program length: 3–4 years / 6,000 hours<br>• Paid on-the-job training and classroom instruction<br>• Safety and trade-related training provided<br>• Progressive wage increases based on performance and advancement<br>• Successful graduates will be classified as Journeyman-level workers</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Starting Pay</span><br>• $20.00 per hour for non-prevailing wage/private work<br>• Prevailing wage projects paid according to applicable wage schedules</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Duties</span></p>\n<p><br>Apprentices may assist with:</p>\n<p><br>• Painting, drywall taping, sanding, patching, and finishing<br>• Carpentry, framing, drywall installation, and material handling<br>• Demolition, site preparation, and general construction labor<br>• Safe operation of hand and power tools<br>• Interior and exterior construction and restoration work</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><br>Applicants must:</p>\n<p><br>• Be at least 18 years old<br>• Applicants under 18 must provide parental/legal guardian consent<br>• Be legally authorized to work in the United States<br>• Have reliable transportation<br>• Be dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements</span></p>\n<p><br>Applicants must be able to:<br>• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds<br>• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work overhead for extended periods<br>• Work on ladders, scaffolds, and uneven surfaces<br>• Perform indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions<br>• Safely use construction tools and equipment<br>• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Selection Process</span></p>\n<p><br>Selection will be conducted in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity standards established by the New York State Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program and may include:</p>\n<p><br>• Application review<br>• Verification of qualifications<br>• Interview and work aptitude evaluation</p>\n<p><br>Employment is contingent upon meeting program requirements, workplace safety standards, and completion of all required employment documentation.</p>",
