Live Oaks Golf Club, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is a semi-private 18-hole golf club in Jackson, Mississippi, known for its classic Southern layout, towering live oak trees, and full-service amenities including dining, lodging, and event spaces. Designed by John F. Stahl and opened in 1969, the course has become a longtime favorite for golfers in the Jackson area. Live Oaks is hiring for a Kitchen Manager. Primary responsibilities include: Collaborates with the culinary team to plan menus, oversee food preparation, and provide service. Assists in the drafting and implementation of the operating budget. Gathers comments, feedback, and other data about food and service quality; prepares reports of this data for upper management. Ensures and/or maintains the safety and cleanliness of all food preparation, service, and work areas, tools, and facilities. Schedules and coordinates maintenance, repairs, and improvements to food services facilities. Work with GM or sales manager to execute golf outings and banquets Trains, schedules, and supervises kitchen staff. Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications Required Skills Safe Food Handling Certification Proficiency in Excel, Word, and club point of sales systems. Excellent knowledge of Back of House systems, ordering and inventory. Communication and leadership skills. Physical Demands & Work Environment Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to: Walk, sit, stand for long periods of time, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Indoor conditions that may be warm. Work near: grill and fryer. Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud.
