Description
Overview:
Focus Clinic is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) who is passionate about helping children and adolescents with ADHD, executive functioning challenges, sensory processing differences, learning concerns, and related developmental needs. This role blends evidence-based occupational therapy with practical, structured skill-building to support kids at home, in school, and in daily life.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and creative, with a heart for equipping families with real-world tools. If you’re motivated to deliver innovative, patient-centered care in a faith-based, multidisciplinary setting, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for children and teens with ADHD, sensory processing concerns, motor coordination challenges, emotional regulation needs, and functional skill delays.
Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans focused on executive functioning, self-regulation, routines, independence, and school-related performance.
Deliver therapy using evidence-based approaches (as appropriate), which may include sensory integration-informed strategies, motor planning interventions, visual-motor supports, and emotional/self-regulation frameworks.
Provide parent and caregiver coaching with practical home strategies (routines, transitions, sleep supports, organization systems, sensory diets, etc.).
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (medical providers, psychologists, coaches, educational advocates) to coordinate care and align treatment goals.
Contribute to clinic programming as needed, such as group skill-building sessions (e.g., regulation groups, school readiness, handwriting, organization).
Maintain accurate, timely, AI-assisted documentation that meets insurance billing and compliance standards.
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training to ensure alignment with clinic values, patient experience standards, and clinical excellence.
Qualifications:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current Michigan OT license in good standing (OTR/L).
Experience working with children and adolescents (preferred).
Strong understanding of ADHD-related challenges, including executive functioning, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and functional independence.
Comfortable collaborating in a team-based model and communicating clearly with parents, teachers (as appropriate), and other providers.
Eligible and willing to become credentialed with insurance panels (if applicable to your role structure).
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and caregivers.
Commitment to compassionate and mission-driven care.
Why Join Focus Clinic?
Deliver impactful, individualized care to children and families navigating ADHD and learning challenges.
Work in a supportive and mission-focused team of professionals, including psychologists, medical providers, and educational advocates.
Help shape innovative coaching programs within a reimbursable therapeutic model.
Receive ongoing mentorship, professional development, and training opportunities.
Enjoy a values-driven culture that emphasizes compassion, collaboration, and excellence.
