All levels of experience and education will be considered for this role. Description Shift: PRN. Varied hours. Call and holiday rotations required. Provides quality care to the patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Assumes responsibility and provides direct quality care for patients receiving Nuclear Medicine and PET exams. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices. Explains procedures to patients to reduce their anxiety and obtain patient cooperation. Assists with patient/family education. Performs efficiently in emergency situations. Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic procedures. Responsible for acquiring, processing and photographing optimum exams for diagnostic interpretation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology, be registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
