Job Overview
Shriners Children's Erie has an opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) engages in the professional practice of communication and swallowing. The SLP recognizes the needs, abilities, values, preferences, interests of individuals and families to whom they provide clinical services, as well as, integrates those factors along with best current research evidence in making clinical decisions. The SLP provides individualized evaluations, treatments plans, family education and training, as well as, staff education and training to meet the communication and swallowing needs of their patients and families.
Responsibilities
Upon receiving a licensed independent practitioner referral, implements a systematic patient examination and evaluation utilizing a comprehensive, patient and family-centered approach to decision making incorporating national standards and the AMA CPT codes.
SLP will design, develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address presenting symptoms or concerns of a communication and/or swallowing problem or related functional issue to optimize function.

Qualifications
Required
Masters degree in Speech Pathology
Licensed in state of practice
