The Patient Access Representative conducts the in-patient registration process, registration interviews and enters registration data into the system.  The Representative obtains room assignment and insurance verification, calculates charges, collects payment for services and explains hospital policies regarding payment for charges. The Patient Access Representative directs patients to the proper area for treatment and addresses routine patient inquiries and problems.",
