The Thermal Department in York, PA is the leading service provider for all third party fenestration testing needs. Feel confident in joining a team on the leading edge of customer service and knowledge in the field! The Simulation Technician will&nbsp;perform computer simulations&nbsp;a variety of fenestration (windows and doors) products.</p><p>This is an entry level, hands-on position in a team environment. <strong>On-the-job training</strong> provided and excellent opportunities for growth offered. We’re looking for an individual who can perform tasks with limited supervision while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity all with a keen eye and attention to detail.</p><p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform compliant computer simulations following all associated standards and methods</li><li>Self-manage all assigned jobs through internal job network (test dates, invoicing, etc.)</li><li>Analyze test results and write accurate and concise test reports that summarize the test procedures and results</li><li>Communicate with clients regarding scheduling, procedures, and results&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>What it takes to be successful in this role:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>Technical and mechanical competency to understand and communicate test procedures, specifications, and results</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend client provided drawings, specifications and details</li><li>Basic Microsoft Office knowledge and functionality</li><li>Physical ability to sit&nbsp;for an extended period of time</li><li><strong>Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)</strong></li><li>Reliable transportation</li></ul><p><strong>Why work at Intertek?</strong></p><p>Intertek is a world leader in the $250 billion Quality Assurance market, with a proven, high-quality business model and a global network of customer-focused operations and highly engaged subject matter experts.
