As a Senior Government Solutions Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple activities and projects, including collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative communication solutions and ensure alignment with Iridium’s initiatives. In this role, you will focus primarily on advising clients and partners, integrating emerging technologies, and delivering scalable, cost-effective solutions that meet the unique needs of government customers. You will thrive in this role if you have strong problem-solving skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to translate technical requirements into practical applications while proactively driving project success. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance required; TS/SCI strongly preferred. Candidates with an active TS clearance must be eligible and willing to obtain SCI access. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). </p>\n<h2>What You’ll Do:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Architect mission-focused solutions that integrate Iridium Mobile Satellite Services (voice, data, and IoT) with tactical radios, network infrastructure, mission applications, and cloud platforms to meet U.S. Government requirements for operations, cybersecurity, resiliency, and interoperability. </li>\n <li>Work directly with government agencies, partners, and internal cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and ensure alignment with Iridium’s initiatives </li>\n <li>Identify and integrate innovative technologies into existing systems to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness </li>\n <li>Serve as a technical advisor, providing guidance on system capabilities, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring optimal system performance </li>\n <li>Lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to technical specifications, and alignment with client objectives </li>\n <li>Foster strong relationships with government clients, deliver technical presentations, and provide training to ensure effective use of Iridium solutions </li>\n <li>Deliver clear, persuasive presentations of technical solutions and recommendations to customers in one-on-one meetings, briefings, and large conference settings, tailoring content to both technical and executive audiences </li>\n <li>Monitor industry trends, gather feedback from stakeholders, and recommend process improvements to enhance the overall performance and value of Iridium’s solutions </li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<h2>What You’ll Need to Succeed:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree  </li>\n <li>10+ years of relevant experience in the satellite or military communications industry  </li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey products, deliverables, analyses, and/or issues clearly and confidently, and recognize and adapt to different communication techniques </li>\n <li>Comfortable speaking in front of audiences (small working groups and at industry conferences) </li>\n <li>Can easily build meaningful relationships with others, including senior leadership outside of your own department, and is comfortable providing constructive feedback to your team members and management </li>\n <li>Ability to support relationships and network internally and externally to facilitate business objectives </li>\n <li>Be able to analyze a situation or problem, generate effective solutions, and see those solutions through to completion </li>\n <li>Must possess the creativity and resourcefulness needed to make reliable decisions and determine methods on new assignments </li>\n <li>Can thrive in a dynamic environment by handling multiple tasks and managing shifting priorities </li>\n <li>Be proactive in sharing knowledge you’ve learned with others </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Things That Would be Great if You Brought to the Table:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior military, DoD (Department of Defense) civilian, or DoD contractor experience </li>\n <li>Knowledge of Iridium call processing, gateway architecture, and Space Vehicle (SV) interactions </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>We’ll also need you to:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Be able to travel up to 30% </li>\n <li>Be a US Citizen  </li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<h2>Work Environment:</h2>\n<p>This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We believe in-person connection drives innovation, strengthens mentorship, and builds culture, while flexibility enables employees to do their best work.
