    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><b><u>Job Summary</u></b></p>\n<p>This is an <i><b>Engineering Test Technician</b></i> role is in the Product Integrity department of the Power Management business unit.&nbsp; The Product Integrity team setups and executes test cases to validation new AC Power products.&nbsp; Products may have a regional scope or a global scope.</p>\n<p>The Engineer Test Technician will setup the unit under test and the instrumentation as per the test plan.&nbsp; They will operate the unit under test and collect data as per the individual test cases.&nbsp;While executing the test cases, the technician will make observations and keep notes regarding the unit under test’s performance.&nbsp; All of the data collected and the technician’s notes are entered into the test results by the technician.&nbsp; The technician participates in daily standup meetings, keeps their work areas clean and safe, and assists with keeping all the test labs clean and safe.</p>\n<p>This position will be based onsite at our Delaware, OH location.</p>\n<p><b><u>Responsibilities:</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Follow safety policies.</li>\n <li>Setup the unit under test and other equipment which entails connecting large cables (up to 50lbs).</li>\n <li>Setup instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power meters, CTs, voltage probes, and other equipment).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Execute test cases, operate unit under test, operate the instrumentation, collect data, and document the results.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot and correct problems with test setups and with units under test.</li>\n <li>Suggest continuous improvement opportunities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Requirements:</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate of Science majoring in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or military certification or equivalent experience.</li>\n <li>1 to 5 years of relevant experience.</li>\n <li>Broad knowledge of electrical and mechanical test techniques.</li>\n <li>Experience with 208/230/480V/600V 3-phase 60/50 Hz wiring and equipment.</li>\n <li>Experience with 120v 1-phase 60Hz wiring and equipment.</li>\n <li>Experience with instrumentation and low volt wiring.</li>\n <li>Experience with electrical safety tools and techniques.</li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel</li>\n <li>General mechanical skills assembling and disassembling electrical equipment including but not limited to, high power electronics, large magnetic components, circuit boards, high current wiring etc.</li>\n <li>Must have good working knowledge and skills in testing of electrical equipment.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read electronic and electrical schematics.</li>\n <li>Good troubleshooting skills related to AC and DC power circuits.</li>\n <li>Basic experience setting up and using oscilloscopes, power meters for 3 phase measurements.</li>\n <li>Shift/Schedule flexibility for short periods/projects is a plus</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b><u>PHYSICAL &amp; ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to lift 50lbs.</li>\n <li>Ability to stand and/or walk while performing tasks 70% of the time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><b><u>TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5-10%</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principles &amp; Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.</b></p>\n<p><b>Our Core Principles:</b> Safety | Integrity | Respect | Teamwork | Inclusion</p>\n<p><b>Our Strategic Priorities</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High-Performance Culture</li>\n <li>Customer Focus</li>\n <li>Operational Excellence</li>\n <li>Innovation</li>\n <li>Financial Strength</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Vertiv Behaviors</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Own it</li>\n <li>Act with urgency</li>\n <li>Foster a customer-first mindset</li>\n <li>Think big and execute</li>\n <li>Lead by example</li>\n <li>Drive continuous improvement</li>\n <li>Learn and seek out development</li>\n <li>Promote transparent &amp; open communication</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>About Vertiv</b></p>\n<p>Vertiv (NYSE: VRT) brings together hardware, software, analytics and ongoing services to enable its customers' vital applications to run continuously, perform optimally and grow with their business needs.
