    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>R&P is seeking a mid-level Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Modelling and Simulation (M&S) analyst to provide full-time support to the U.S. Navy’s Program Office in charge of Above Water Sensors (PEO IWS 2.0). This position will be focused on an array of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) activities that support the Test and Evaluation of new and modernized systems. In this role, successful candidates would provide technical and programmatic services and must have the ability to understand and communicate effectively with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across all levels of government and industry. A hybrid work environment is acceptable; however, candidates must have the ability to work regularly in the vicinity of the Washington Navy Yard and travel up to 5-10% of the time in the DMV (e.g., to NRL, APL/JHU, NSWC DD).</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work alongside programmatic and technical experts within PEO IWS 2.0 program office and their PEO IWS 2.0 radar, electronic warfare, electro-optical, and decoy systems to coordinate M&S activities. This includes a wide-range of M&S assets, including: digital system representations, virtual twins, system level and combat system digital test beds throughout the detect to engage sequence, Systems Engineering (SE) and Test & Evaluation (T&E) tools, target simulations/stimulators, digital and hardware threat representations, atmospheric representations, scene generators, and data visualizations</li>\n <li>Meet regularly (2-3times per week) with IWS2 M&S Lead at Naval Research Laboratory (NRL).</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain a PEO IWS 2.0 M&S strategy / roadmap.</li>\n <li>Maintain and track M&S resources and a PEO IWS 2.0 M&S catalog.</li>\n <li>Coordinate, facilitate, and document the Verification, Validation, and Accreditation of PEO IWS 2.0 M&S assets.</li>\n <li>Manage, track, and publish action items assigned to PEO IWS 2.0 from PEO IWS M&S IPT activities.</li>\n <li>Participate in external M&S activities and system uses by combat systems and ship platform in their digital test beds throughout the planning, scheduling, readiness reviews, accreditations, data runs, data analysis, and reporting activities.</li>\n <li>Participate in the PEO IWS 2.0 digital engineering efforts.</li>\n <li>Provide a monthly summary of M&S activities and issues to PEO IWS 2.0 T&E PAPM and PEO IWS 2.0 M&S Lead.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><em>Mandatory</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess or meet eligibility for DOD SECRET security clearance</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or similar field</li>\n <li>3+ year of relevant M&S experience, particularly in the area of DoD engineering or programmatic support</li>\n <li>Possesses own transportation to support regular local travel (e.g. travel to NRL)</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to multi-task, provide high quality services and products, while meeting strict deadlines and time constraints</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal/written communication skills</li>\n <li>Proficiency with MS Office suite</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills with attention to detail</li>\n <li>Must be energetic, thoughtful, product-oriented, dependable, flexible, open-minded individual with an eagerness to learn with demonstrated strong work ethic</li>\n <li>Demonstrated forward thinking and proactive problem solving skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <em>Preferred Qualifications</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ year of relevant M&S experience, particularly in the area of DoD engineering or programmatic support</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience utilizing M&S and related tools</li>\n <li>Experience with Navy’s radar, electronic warfare, and/or combat systems</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>EEO Statement</h2>\n<p>R&P Technologies provides equal opportunity for all persons and prohibits discrimination in employment because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability (including pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions), veteran or marital status, or any other factor prohibited by law.
