The opportunity: Our Auckland Industrial team is growing, with a strong pipeline of work across healthcare and other critical facilities. We’re looking for a Project Manager with extensive electrical experience (HV/LV) to lead and deliver major building services upgrades in complex, live environments. We’re seeking someone with 6+ years’ experience who can take ownership of end-to-end delivery. People leadership experience is a bonus, but not required — what matters most is your delivery judgement, technical confidence, and ability to lead outcomes with clients, consultants and contractors. This is work where services often need to remain operational, stakeholders are diverse, and delivery needs calm structure. What success looks like: We spoke with Scott Bosworth, Industrial Service Line Lead, about what success looks like: “Success here comes down to professional judgement and relationships. Plan the disruptive moments, communicate clearly, and make good calls under pressure. If you spot gaps early and keep the team aligned, you’ll thrive.” What you’ll do: - Deliver critical building services upgrades in complex, often live environments keeping essential services running - Lead or support disruption and outage planning to minimise downtime and manage dependencies - Build and run clear delivery plans across scope, programme, budget, risk, reporting and governance - Coordinate consultants, contractors and client stakeholders through design, procurement, delivery and handover - Support commissioning, testing and handover so systems perform as intended - Maintain a strong health and safety lens throughout delivery What sets you up for success: - Strong electrical foundation (engineering, trade, or contractor-side), with the judgement to spot design/methodology gaps - Confidence working across electrical (HV/LV) and controls disciplines - Clear communication, strong organisation, and a structured approach to risk and delivery - Familiarity with NZ procurement/contracts (e.g. NZS 3910/3916) is useful, not a must - Experience in live operational environments is a strong advantage (healthcare ideal, not essential) How we work (and how you’ll grow): We’re office-first, because in-person collaboration accelerates learning, strengthens relationships, and helps us solve problems faster. You’ll generally work between our Wellington office and client or project sites, staying close to the work and the people who matter. Flexibility is supported where it makes sense. We’re also intentional about development at Frequency. You’ll be supported through structured pathways that build both delivery capability and consulting confidence — with clear expectations at each stage and practical support to help you progress. That includes regular coaching and mentoring from senior leaders, and opportunities to take real ownership as you grow.
