Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Novelis has approximately 13,000 employees in 32 operating facilities on 4 continents.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comply with all safety standards and regulations.</li>\n <li>Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in making minor adaptations and modifications to electrical equipment.</li>\n <li>Apply lean manufacturing techniques.</li>\n <li>Contribute to team effort by accomplishing tasks, promoting open communication with peers, and providing updates to direct management.</li>\n <li>Draft and submit budget proposals, recommend subsequent budget changes when necessary.</li>\n <li>Maintain compliance with all company and governmental regulations.</li>\n <li>Prepare and/or modify Electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs.</li>\n <li>Build effective partnerships with plant personal through the implementation of small capital projects.</li>\n <li>Provide technical assistance and training to all applicable personnel regarding electrical systems and functions.</li>\n <li>Assist and lead maintenance in diagnosing equipment problems and recommend methods to prevent reoccurrence of these issues to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.</li>\n <li>Analyze and diagnose root causes of problems and failures recommending and providing solutions to maximize uptime.</li>\n <li>Identify potential issues related to the proper and cost-effective operation and maintenance of equipment and processes to reduce costs and increase throughput.</li>\n <li>Maintain the integrity of engineering drawings, files, project, and equipment archives along with updating deficiencies as they arise.</li>\n <li>Research, plan, and implement assigned projects/tasks to achieve the stated purpose while using the best technologies at the lowest cost.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain up-to-date specialist knowledge on equipment.</li>\n <li>Implement the Reliability Roadmap objectives in your assigned area.</li>\n <li>Adhere to and support company quality, environmental, health & safety, and certification standards, including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, IATF 16949:2016, and ASI Certifications, where applicable.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology and minimum of three years’ experience in an industrial environment required.</li>\n <li>Minimum three years' experience with controls.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organization skills.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Continuous Improvement principles helpful Novelis recognizes its passionate and diverse workforce as a key driven advantage.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Aluminum industry experience and experience with the hot rolling process.</li>\n <li>Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
