Position Summary: This role is more than a BARTENDER ; it is the opportunity to act as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food and drinks. Take our patrons on a culinary adventure through education, quality customer service and making sure they have a positive experience at our restaurant! We are counting on you to be an extension for our brand. The BARTENDER is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests while preparing and serving beverages in a fast-paced, customer focused environment. This role requires strong knowledge of mixology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to high-quality service. Job Responsibilities: Craft our delicious unique cocktails, while educating, interacting and connecting with our guests through food, beverage and culture Set the ambiance (music, lights, cleanliness, etc) of the bar area for an enjoyable and memorable guest experience Assess needs to ensure guest satisfaction and make recommendations to enhance flavor profiles with appropriate food and drink pairings Prep and restock inventory, garnishes and juices to ensure no shortages during the shift Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools and equipment Be personable, always greet patrons, engage with a positive attitude and make an effort to remember regulars Be a team player, and work together with your team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary Perform opening and closing duties as assigned Support and assist with other duties as assigned Qualifications: Team player + positive attitude Strong customer service skills Excellent verbal communication and positive interpersonal skills required 6 + months of experience as a host Service experience in a fast-paced environment Able to acquire a California Handler license, Sexual Harassment certification and RBS (alcohol) license (before or within 30 days of hire date) Bilingual is a plus A few reasons why you`ll love your job: Opportunity to be a part of a growing and passionate company and team Unique opportunity to bridge cultures through food Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and 401(k) Family meals provided Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO): Burma Food Group provides Equal Employment Opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics and other protected classes.
