This position is based in Calgary, AB.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As <strong>Component Engineer</strong>, you will:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Supporting Supply Chain and Engineering teams by identifying suitable alternatives, second sources and managing qualification in affected products </li>\n <li>Work collabroatively with new product engineers to select electronic components (semiconductors, discrete, passives, interconnects, fasteners etc.) for all new products</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Assessing current market state and proactively make recommendations to prevent risk </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Review technical data sheets to assess Digital and RF hardware design fit </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviewing components for compliance to relevant standards (RoHS, WEEE, REACH, Conflict Minerals, etc.) and maintain supporting documentation </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Managing component obsolescence including sourcing and recommending alternatives </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Work directly with component manufacturers on failure analysis to determine root cause and corrective actions </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Must-Have:                       </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Electrical Engineer Degree or Electronics Engineering Technical diploma with 1 to 3 years’ experience</li>\n <li>New Engineering graduates will be considered</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills – both written and oral</li>\n <li>Ability to work within a team environment, creating effective relationships with various internal functional teams and external suppliers</li>\n <li>Effective organization skills and the ability to deliver tasks with minimal supervision</li>\n <li>Self-motivated team player with proven problem solving capabilities</li>\n <li>Experience in electronic manufacturing environment</li>\n <li> Knowledge of Digital and RF design principles and ability to intepret product design schematics</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Success Factors:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicate in a technical environment with confidence </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Nice-to-Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding of GNSS receivers</li>\n <li>Experience working in a Continuous Improvement environment</li>\n <li>Lean training/knowledge</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you require any special accommodation, please email our team at [email protected] and we will be pleased to follow up with you. </p>",
