The street department has a team of seven employees and works to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the town through trash collection, debris pick up, leaf removal, mowing, and street clearing. A Street Maintenance Technician will help collect trash, pick up large items left by the curb, perform leaf removal, conduct mowing, conduct street clearing during storms and winter weather, and any other tasks designated by the Street Foreman or Public Works Director.</p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Drive Trash Truck to collect curbside trash from residents.&nbsp;</li><li>Collect debris from sidewalk and roadways for chipping.</li><li>Mowing and weed eating of town-maintained areas.</li><li>Operate Chipper Truck and process debris for chipping.</li><li>Drive Leaf Machine to remove leaves from sidewalks.</li><li>Drive Salt Truck during inclement weather.</li><li>Plow roadways and town parking lots during inclement weather.</li><li>Respond to citizen requests for additional trash cans or pick up items.</li><li>Operate heavy equipment as needed.</li><li>Assists with repair and cleaning of storm drains.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist all departments of Public Works as determined by the Public Works Director.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
