ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.</em></strong></p>\n<h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p> \n<ul>\n <li>Learn to safely assist with operating basic machine tools and shop equipment, such as lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, and CNC machines, under close supervision.</li>\n <li>Support machine setup and operation to help produce parts made from metal and other materials, following instructions from experienced team members.</li>\n <li>Assist with checking finished parts using measuring tools to make sure they meet basic quality and drawing requirements.</li>\n <li>Observe and help with simple machine adjustments (such as speed and material feed) as directed by a supervisor or mentor.</li>\n <li>Help ensure machines and work areas are clean, organized, and operating properly to support quality production</li>\n <li>Work under direct supervision, with increasing independence as skills and experience grow.</li>\n <li>Accurately enter daily time or activity information into a tracking system, with guidance as needed.</li>\n <li>Take responsibility for learning and practicing good quality habits in all assigned tasks.</li>\n <li>Gain a basic understanding of workplace quality standards (such as ISO 9001) through training and hands-on experience.</li>\n <li>Follow all safety rules and requirements, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and participating in 6S/housekeeping activities and daily cleanup.</li>\n <li>Perform other learning-focused tasks or projects as assigned by management or supervisors.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Position Requirements</h2>\n<p> </p> \n<ul>\n <li>Currently enrolled in a High School Machine Tool curriculum</li>\n <li>Interest in learning machining skills, including assisting with lathes (manual and CNC); experience with mills is helpful but not required.</li>\n <li>Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate respectfully with supervisors and coworkers.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn and flexibility to work assigned shifts, within school and youth labor guidelines.</li>\n <li>Ability to learn how to read basic blueprints and understand common symbols with training and support.</li>\n <li>Willingness to learn how to use measuring tools such as micrometers (manual and digital).</li>\n <li>Ability to learn to read basic comparators for size, angles, and radii under supervision.</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software systems for entering time or activity information.</li>\n <li>Ability to use basic math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions) in practical, hands‑on situations.</li>\n <li>Ability to work under direct supervision, with increasing independence as skills and experience develop.</li>\n <li>Willingness to follow instructions carefully and practice good quality habits in all assigned tasks.</li>\n <li>Openness to learning about workplace quality standards (such as ISO 9001) through training and hands‑on experience.</li>\n <li>Commitment to following all safety rules, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and participating in 6S/housekeeping and daily cleanup activities.</li>\n <li>Willingness to assist with additional learning‑focused tasks or projects as assigned by supervisors or management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Equal Pay Act Statement</h2>We aim to pay our ‘ITT’ers’ fairly and competitively in the locations that they live and work.
