    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This person will be responsible for educational leadership and student instruction on a part-time basis in the Manufacturing Engineering Technology department. Teaching responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, CNC machining, manual machining, Automation, metrology, and CAD/CAM. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Fall 2026 schedule : Tuesday/Thursday: 5-10pm</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate's Degree In Tool Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Required</li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree In Tool Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Three (3) years of teaching and/or industrial work experience in machining technologies. Required</li>\n <li>Five (5) years of related teaching or industrial experience. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ABILITIES AND SKILLS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required</li>\n <li>Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, and staff. Required</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required</li>\n <li>Developed organizational skills. Required</li>\n <li>Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Required</li>\n <li>Computer literacy in specialty area. Preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Instruct and evaluate student performance in machining technologies, such as CNC machining, metrology, automation, manual machining, and/or EDM.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate written records of Student performance.</li>\n<li>Assume responsibility for laboratory coordination and maintenance.</li>\n<li>Maintain communications with School administrators as appropriate.</li>\n<li>Requisition supplies, materials, tools, equipment, and maintenance as appropriate.</li>\n<li>Complete official Student rosters and return to School office as required.</li>\n<li>Attend Department meetings as requested.</li>\n<li>Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.</li>\n<h2>Physical Standards and Special Job Features</h2>None\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>The part-time rate for 2025/26 will be the greater of $1160 per credit or $773 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $48.31 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.\n<h2>College Statement</h2>\n<p>This is not a complete itemization of all facets of this position.
