This position oversees quality systems in order to produce products in the most cost-effective and safe manner while operating within Novolex quality standards.  This position reports directly to the Quality Manager / SQF Practitioner.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Overall responsibility for implementing and maintaining the quality policy to ensure quality standards and goals are met for the organization.</li>\n <li>Promotes an environment of continuous improvement of quality.</li>\n <li>Responsible for maintaining documentation and production approvals in the area of quality. </li>\n <li>Advises supervisors and techs on quality issues, product security, and related product quality performance. </li>\n <li>Maintain and calibrate all lab equipment and procedures to standard.</li>\n <li>Acceptable attendance required</li>\n <li>Manages equipment and controls for training and effectiveness.</li>\n <li>Cross-trains within the department to ensure coverage during vacations, illness and leaves of absence.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>                                                             </p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school or GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li>\n <li>Two (2) or more years experience in the field of quality and safety.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of basic Statistical Process Control (SPC) and related Quality Tools. </li>\n <li>Experience in working with manufacturing-based technology preferred.</li>\n <li>Computer skills in Microsoft Word for Windows and EXCEL.</li>\n <li>General office skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements (must be able to meet with or without accommodation):</strong></p>\n<p>Requirements include, but are not limited to (all times are approximate):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Sitting (Rarely)</li>\n <li>Standing (Constantly - 12 hours or more)</li>\n <li>Walking (Constantly - 12 hours or more)</li>\n <li>Lifting (Regularly/Constantly):\n  <ul>\n   <li>0-10 lbs.
