As a Driver, duties include transporting goods to routes in a commercial vehicle, making deliveries and pickups to and from school sites and warehouses, and communicating with management team, and dispatchers.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Safely operate a Commercial vehicle.</li><li>Load and unload cargo.</li><li>Read locations and road maps.</li><li>Basic truck maintenance.&nbsp;</li><li>Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before and after each trip.</li><li>Meet delivery schedules while maintaining safe work practices.&nbsp;</li><li>Properly track and document driving logs on an ELD.</li><li>Report any issues or incidents to dispatch.</li></ul><ul><li>Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.</li><li>Maintain safe work practices.</li><li>Other duties as requested.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields</li><li>Valid Commercial Driver&#39;s License.</li><li>Ability to handle physical workload</li><li>Ability to work in all types of weather and environments.</li><li>Strong work ethic.</li><li>Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License, DOT Medical Certificate and Motor Vehicle Record (10 years of history.)</li><li>10-year DMV driving record history dated no later than 30 days with no more than 2 points.</li><li>Touch-freight required.</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li><li>Pass a DOJ and criminal background check.</li><li>Speak and Read English satisfactorily to:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>Converse with the public.</li><li>Understand traffic signs and signals.</li><li>Respond to official questions.</li><li>Make legible entries on reports and records.</li></ul></li><li>Is not disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under rules in 49 CFR 391.15.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul><li>Driving Class B: 1 Year (required)</li><li>CDL A (Required)</li><li>Pass a driver&rsquo;s road test or equivalent.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>OTHER DUTIES:</strong></p><p>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
