Description

Position: Walk-In Clinic Nurse Practitioner Department: RHC Reports To: Chief Practice Management Officer Direct Reports: None FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner coordinates the planning, implementation and on-going monitoring and evaluation of patients in a walk-in clinic setting under the supervision of a collaborating licensed physician. Responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, treating patient conditions, educating patients and family members about medical options, prescribing medications and treatments, and performing other duties to support patients. Assist in coordinating continuum of care, educate patients with no primary care provider on the importance of establishing a primary health care provider. Certification/Licensure for NP Current IL Nurse Practitioner License Required Current IL DEA License Required BLS Required ACLS recommended within 1 year of hire Experience 2 years Acute Care/Urgent Care experience preferred
