    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">Northeast Aero is seeking skilled and motivated technicians with a hunger for knowledge and a passion for aviation repair to join our team. We currently have open positions in Pneumatic, Rotating, Fuel, Electro/ Mechanical and Hydraulics. Our ideal candidate is a team player and has a passion for working with their hands, utilizing various tools, materials and specialized testing equipment to test and repair aircraft components in accordance with OEM and/or customer specifications.</p><p>The technician&rsquo;s responsibilities will be testing, troubleshooting, tearing down and building aircraft components. All positions require knowledge of our procedures as it pertains to processes and documentation. On the job training and oversight is provided by NEACO management.</p><p><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Commitment to company values and ethics</li><li>Test and repair aircraft components in accordance with company provided data (manuals, drawings, procedures, etc.) and company provided training.</li><li>Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area.</li><li>Correctly, concisely, and legibly fill out all company forms and reports as required by management (both written and online).</li><li>Work with co-workers to achieve goals and objectives set by management.</li><li>Work with management to develop new processes and procedures as necessary.</li><li>Assist in basic shop upkeep and maintenance including routine cleaning of the technician&rsquo;s work area and periodic shop maintenance assignments.</li><li>Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external representatives, including management, customer reps, FAA inspectors, airline inspectors and similar (training provided).</li></ul><p><strong>Experience and Skills</strong></p><ul><li>The ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings as well as a basic background check.</li><li>2+ of similar or related work experience; similar experience in aviation, automotive, marine, electronics, or low-voltage electric repair will be considered.</li><li>Technician candidate must own his or her own set of basic hand tools.</li><li>Applicant must have at the least a moderate level of experience and proficiency with general electrical soldering and/or circuit board level soldering.</li><li>The ability to follow instructions and work to a written procedure concisely and accurately.</li><li>Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.</li><li>Applicants must be able to read and thoroughly understand technical drawings, blueprints, manuals, and instructions. A pre-employment technical skills and comprehension test may be required.</li><li>Interested individuals must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized.</li><li>Experience using a computer.</li><li>Punctual and reliable.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>Electrical or Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience. Machinist experience a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>The ability to walk up stairs</li><li>Manual dexterity (must be able to hold certain components with one hand while moving tools around with the other)</li><li>Constant hand manipulation of small to medium components</li><li>Sitting or standing for long periods of time</li><li>Frequent use of hand tools and other repair equipment</li><li>Use of chemicals for cleaning, lubricating and painting</li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED is required.</li><li>Associates degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.</li><li>Trade schooling or related industry experience required.</li><li>A&amp;P license/certificate is not required (but it is a plus).</li><li>This position is considered safety sensitive and will be part of FAA DOT Drug Abatement Program so must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug or alcohol testing.</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><ul><li>Hourly position commensurate with experience level and skill level and/or certifications.
