Description
Position: CNC Programmer
Type: Full-Time, 1st shift
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate proficiency with MasterCam and/or NX Experience in using Solid Works is desired Ability to read engineering prints and design documentation, including the ability to understand GD&T Develop work-holding fixtures and select cutting tools Must have ability to adjust speeds, feeds, tooling and operating sequences as needed and analyze G code Specify perishable tooling and capable fixturing while applying continuous improvements to the manufacturing process. Must have advanced knowledge of metal cutting as well as the ability to select and recommend test tooling Multi-Axis and Multi-Spindle experience a plus Integrate work with the Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing and Scheduling Department to ensure a smooth flow of quality products through the factory. Qualifications: An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering Must have excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation Familiarity with the latest technologies and equipment used in manufacturing processes Minimum 5-8 years of experience using: NX, Unigraphics and SolidWorks Software, Mastercam Knowledge of raw materials Knowledge of mathematics: algebra, geometry, calculus and geometry Team leading ability Good problem-solving skills Ability to manage one’s time and time of the team Ability to detect problems Background of science, technology, engineering and mathematics
Work Environment: While performing duties for this job, it’s required to alternate between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, visual acuity, climbing stairs, ladders, ramps, fine motor manipulation, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling. Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily. Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor. Possible risk of injury from equipment or sharp parts and may be required to use protective equipment such as gowns and safety goggles. Assignment may require working on loud and potentially dangerous machinery/materials. Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data. Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 40 lbs. May require local travel Benefits:
