          "text": "<p>Are you passionate about shaping the future of Army communications through user-centred design? Join our Calgary team as an Ergonomist / Human Factors Engineer and help create solutions that improve the effectiveness, usability, and experience of military systems for soldiers in the field.</p><p>In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of human factors specialists, user experience experts, designers, and engineers to identify End User needs and define ergonomic problem spaces. Your focus will include hardware design, reach and accommodation analysis, and the integration of products into vehicles and other operational environments.</p><p>Using human factors and ergonomic principles, research, and usability testing, you will advocate for the End User throughout the design and development process. You will play a key role in ensuring military systems are intuitive, effective, and aligned with operational requirements through an iterative user-centred design approach.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Conduct ergonomic and human factors analysis for military systems and hardware</li><li>Evaluate reach, accommodation, and installation considerations for vehicle and operational environments</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, designers, and development teams to define user requirements and design solutions</li><li>Plan and conduct usability testing and user research activities</li><li>Apply human factors principles and standards to support product development decisions</li><li>Communicate findings, recommendations, and design considerations through written reports and presentations</li><li>Advocate for End User needs throughout the design lifecycle</li><li>Support iterative design improvements based on testing, feedback, and operational requirements</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong>&#xa0;What You Need to Have to Succeed</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Ergonomics, Human Factors Engineering, Industrial Design, Biomechanics, Systems Design, or a related discipline with coursework in human factors or ergonomics.</li><li>2–5 years of experience in Ergonomics, Human Factors, Industrial Design, or Human Systems.</li><li>Experience supporting ergonomic or human factors activities related to hardware, vehicles, facilities, or operational environments.</li><li>Understanding of user-centred design principles, usability testing, and ergonomic assessment methods.</li><li>Familiarity with anthropometric analysis and ergonomic evaluations.</li><li>Experience using human modelling or simulation tools such as Siemens Process Simulate Human, JACK, or similar software is considered an asset.</li><li>Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate findings through written reports and presentations.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to support research, testing, and design evaluations to improve End User experience and usability.</li><li>Willingness to travel as required.</li></ul><p><strong>What Makes You Stand Out</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with military (MIL-STD 1472, DEF-STAN-0251 and DEF-STAN 00-23-09) , ANSI, OSHA, or ISO ergonomic and human factors standards.</li><li>Experience supporting usability studies, workshops, interviews, or research activities.</li><li>Exposure to creating ergonomic or human factors artefacts, mockups, or design recommendations.</li><li>Experience working with integrated product or engineering teams.</li><li>Technical writing and presentation experience.</li><li>Relevant professional certification or progress toward certification (e.g., CCPE, AE, CPE, C.ErgHF).</li><li>Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p>",
