</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li style=\"margin-bottom:4px;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Evaluating medical and/or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing disorders;</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li style=\"margin-bottom:4px;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Assessing the root cause of swallowing and communication difficulties (e.g., congenital problems, acquired disorders after a stroke or injury, etc.);</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li style=\"margin-bottom:4px;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Developing and implementing appropriate treatment programs;</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li style=\"margin-bottom:4px;\"><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Assessing communication environments; Activities include but are not limited to:\\n\\n\\t\\n\\t\\tIdentifying the individual’s developmental speech and communication difficulties/disorders, such as stuttering, delayed language, swallowing disorders, or inappropriate pitch or harsh voice problems, based on own assessments and recommendations of physicians, psychologists, or social workers;\\n\\t\\tAdministering hearing or speech and language evaluations, tests, or examinations to collect information on type and degree of impairments, using written or oral tests or special instruments; \\n\\t\\tEvaluating medical and/or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing disorders;\\n\\t\\tAssessing the root cause of swallowing and communication difficulties (e.g., congenital problems, acquired disorders after a stroke or injury, etc.);\\n\\t\\tDeveloping and implementing appropriate treatment programs;\\n\\t\\tAssessing communication environments; Developing and implementing alternative diagnostic or communication devices or strategies; \\n\\t\\tDelivering therapy to individuals on a one-to-one basis, and in groups, as appropriate;\\n\\t\\tMonitoring and evaluating each individual’s progress; Making adjustments, as necessary.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tInstructs individuals in techniques for more effective communication, such as sign language, lip reading, or voice improvement. \\n\\tDevelops individual or group activities, lesson plans, educational or therapeutic games and/or programs to address behavior, speech, language, or swallowing problems. \\n\\tConducts and/or assists teachers and direct care staff with individual and group activities. \\n\\tConsults with and refer individuals for additional medical or educational services. \\n\\tEnsures speech therapy services meet the terms and conditions of funding sources.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tDocumentation and Recordkeeping – Follows proper documentation and recordkeeping procedures in compliance with ASC policies and procedures.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tDocuments caseload activities, including the initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge of individuals.\\n\\tSubmits speech therapy-related reports, including Medicaid and/or billing reports, in a timely manner. \\n\\tPrepares information requested by grant sponsors or as required by ASC management, federal, state, and/or local regulations.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tCommunication –  Facilitates the sharing of relevant information between all disciplines through informal communication, participation in meetings and documentation with the best interests of the individuals in mind.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tMaintains strict confidentiality regarding each individual’s health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ASC’s policies and procedures. \\n\\tCollaborates with other members of the individual’s Circle of Support to provide the best level of service to the individuals; Participates in IP/PEP meetings, medical reviews, in-services, etc. \\n\\tMaintains effective lines of communication with the individuals being served and their families/guardians, direct care staff, supervisors and managers and the rest of the interdisciplinary team, concerning each individual’s progress, sharing concerns and ideas.\\n\\tPromptly communicates with appropriate ASC personnel regarding any issues that impact the health or safety of the individuals.\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tTraining and Development\\n\\n\\n\\n\\tProvides training to individuals, families/guardians and direct care staff on treatment programs, communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings.\\n\\tParticipates in conferences, training, continuing education courses, and research activities to stay current on new hearing or speech disorder treatment methods or technologies. \\n\",\"employmentType\":\"OTHER\",\"hiringOrganization\":{\"@type\":\"Organization\",\"name\":\"ANN STORCK CENTER INC\",\"logo\":\"https://www.paycomonline.net/v4/ats/web.php/application/style/logo?clientkey=AEE60468937B1AC7AFF8976A120E1E9B\"},\"jobLocation\":{\"@type\":\"Place\",\"address\":{\"streetAddress\":\"1790 SW 43rd Way\",\"addressLocality\":\"Fort Lauderdale\",\"addressRegion\":\"FL\",\"postalCode\":33317,\"addressCountry\":\"USA\"}},\"qualifications\":\"Minimum Education and Work Experience Requirements:\\n\\n\\n\\tMaster’s degree from an accredited college or university.
