    "description": "<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and interpreting the outcomes of diagnostic imaging procedures, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computer tomography (CT), mammography, ultrasound, plain X-Rays and fluoroscopy.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key responsibilities include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reporting on all plain X-Rays and conducting special investigations, such as barium enemas, meal, IVP, VCUG, sialogram, retrograde urethrogram and HSG</li>\n<li>Communicating examination results or diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients, or families</li>\n<li>Providing counseling to radiologic patients to explain the processes, risks and benefits of the procedure</li>\n<li>Developing or monitoring procedures to ensure adequate quality control of images</li>\n<li>Instructing radiologic staff in desired techniques, positions, or projections</li>\n<li>Conducting physical examinations to make decisions about appropriate procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The successful candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Medical Degree (M.D. or M.B.B.S.) from an accredited school of medicine, plus a completed residency programme in Radiology.</li>\n<li>At least three (3) years of relevant practical experience.</li>\n<li>Up-to-date registration with the Barbados Medical Council (or other professional registration body if not resident in Barbados).</li>\n<li>High proficiency and comfort level in performing biopsies and CT drainage procedures</li>\n<li>BLS or ACLS certification would be an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Personal attributes:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patient-focused with exceptional interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and professional demeanour</li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills</li>\n<li>Meticulous nature with a keen eye for detail</li>\n<li>Able to exercise sound judgment in challenging situations and high-pressure environments</li>\n<li>Able and willing to work closely and effectively with technical radiology team, inclusive of fellow radiologists, as well as radiographers and administrative staff</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Note: Only suitable candidates will be contacted to participate in the recruitment process. </span></em></p>\n<p> </p>",
