    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>Physician Practice Enhancement is seeking a Physician Assistant to work at Carewell Health in East Orange per diem on weekends as needed.</p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p>The Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, timely medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced emergency department setting. This position requires the ability to rapidly assess patient conditions, develop differential diagnoses, and implement appropriate treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.</li><li>Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license to practice in New Jersey.</li><li>Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.</li><li>Experience or clinical rotations in emergency medicine or acute care settings.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous work experience as a Physician Assistant in an emergency department.</li><li>Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).</li><li>Familiarity with trauma protocols and emergency department operations.</li><li>Strong background in procedural skills such as suturing, intubation, and central line placement.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations to evaluate emergency medical conditions.</li><li>Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic tests such as laboratory studies, imaging, and EKGs to guide clinical decision-making.</li><li>Develop and implement treatment plans including prescribing medications, performing procedures, and coordinating follow-up care.</li><li>Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.</li><li>Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and discharge instructions.</li><li>Respond promptly to emergency situations, including trauma resuscitations and critical care interventions.</li><li>Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record system.</li><li>Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain clinical competencies.</li></ul><p><br></p></div>\n",
