Description The College of Nursing Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Department at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor. Responsibilities Teaching responsibilities include both didactic coursework and clinical supervision of students, primarily students enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program Primary Care Pediatric Concentration. Responsibilities for this role include clinical practice assignments, and skills/simulation lab in addition to other educational responsibilities. Research/scholarship activities as well as service responsibilities will be determined in collaboration with Department Chair. Qualifications EDUCATION: Doctoral Degree from an accredited university required. LICENSES: Certification/recertification as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse in Tennessee or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee required. DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES: Substantive expertise is required as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Expertise in clinical teaching and active engagement in appropriate professional organizations is highly desirable. Evidence of scholarship, including research and/or grants, is desirable.
