Ocean Capital has an opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Generalist , who will support specific HR initiatives and operational requirements. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR activities, including day-to-day HR operations, as well as supporting special projects and tasks as required. This role will provide valued direction, service, support and advice to senior leadership, managers and employees, and be proactive in promoting human resources best practices, policies and procedures. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right person who is interested in preparing the organization for the future, modernization of HR practices and someone who enjoys a dynamic and rewarding work environment. Other responsibilities will include: Strategic People Initiatives: Be part of the HR team who will be key in preparing the organization for the future participating in the implementation of strategic people initiatives including succession planning, leadership development, and talent management. Partner with Senior Leadership: Partner with senior leadership on complex initiatives, including succession planning, organizational plans, and philosophy, setting the stage for strategic growth. Supporting the Business with Analytics: Partner with the business to provide key insights and actions supported by people measures and analytics. Critically analyzing the impact of HR practices for the business and how to measure success. Recruitment: Manage a unique and positive Candidate experience in the recruitment process for select positions while building a pipeline for talent. Onboarding: Create an engaging employee experience by preparing and executing an onboarding and orientation to the company in partnership with the business. Employee Relations: Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees in day-to-day circumstances that require HR leadership. Required education, experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration, or related discipline. Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) Designation completed or in progress. 7+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources. Experience working in a corporate environment. Previous experience with an HRIS system would be considered an asset. A passion for HR with a clear understanding to its role within a company’s strategy. Expert knowledge of MS office and PowerPoint. Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Sound research and business analytic skills. Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independently or within a team. Understands and appreciate the need for confidentiality.
