Our company&rsquo;s success is driven by our dynamic, highly-skilled and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who live in coastal communities and contribute to the local area&rsquo;s economy and sense of community.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The Role:</strong></p><p>As a result of our robust growth, we are expanding our team of professionals. &nbsp;The key role of this position is to monitor and operate the vessel&#39;s mechanical equipment.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Primary duties are (not limited to):</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Safe and economical operations of all machinery on the vessel;</li><li>Proper maintenance of all machinery on the vessel;</li><li>Performs troubleshooting, problem solving as well as preventative and corrective maintenance to prevent down time and to ensure the efficient and continual functioning of the vessel;</li><li>Environmental management</li><li>Monitoring of bunkers and lubricants;</li><li>Maintain accurate records and other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong><u>Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Third-Class Engineer Certificate issued by Transport Canada;</li><li>SCTW Motor Certificate;</li><li>Strong in sense of responsibility and pride in overall condition of machinery;</li><li>Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills;</li><li>Experienced with Safety Management Systems;</li><li>Valid Marine Basic First Aid or Advanced First Aid and CPR;</li><li>Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate;</li><li>Valid Canadian Passport with the ability to enter the US;</li><li>A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.</li><li>As per company policy, a&nbsp;clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.</li><li>&nbsp;</li></ul><p>Salary commensurate with experience which includes a competitive health and dental benefit package.</p><p>&nbsp;cooke-dnp</p></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
