    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Train and coach while working alongside a team of Ride Operators to maintain the safe, efficient and Courteous operation of assigned ride(s).</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure the safety of both guests and employees is the highest priority.</li>\n <li>Train employees in accordance with standard operating procedures, training checklists and safety standards.</li>\n <li>Supervise the operations of the ride and ensure subordinate team members perform job functions safely, efficiently and courteously and in accordance with standard operating procedures.</li>\n <li>Ensure pre-opening ride inspections and closing procedures are properly completed.</li>\n <li>Maintain an open and effective line of communication between team members and management.</li>\n <li>Evaluate the performance of employees and provide feedback to promote growth and retention.</li>\n <li>Take immediate and decisive action to correct employees who are working at a substandard level.</li>\n <li>Maintain ride reports, logs and checklists while ensuring all forms are completed neatly and accurately.</li>\n <li>Oversee the timely completion of position rotations.</li>\n <li>Schedule break periods and ensure breaks are completed on time.</li>\n <li>Maintain an adequate stock of all necessary cleaning supplies, paperwork and equipment.</li>\n <li>Execute the \"Attention to Detail\" program for an assigned team and ensure cleanliness in front-of-the-house, back-of-the-house and fringe areas.</li>\n <li>Interpret and enforce all park and corporate policies as set forth by Darien Lake.</li>\n <li>Respond to guest comments and resolve guest concerns in a friendly, non-offensive manner.</li>\n <li>Ensure employees immediately report all injuries to First Aid Department. Work with Safety to ensure that all individuals are retrained when necessary to ensure safe practices are followed.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Appreciation for the serious and safety critical nature of the responsibilities inherent in the job.</li>\n <li>1 Year of Ride Operator experience.</li>\n <li>For safety purposes, the individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak and understand the English language.</li>\n <li>Proven organization and time management skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written and oral instructions.</li>\n <li>Strong communications skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and guests.</li>\n <li>Strong motivational, leadership and team building skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to achieve and maintain certification and trainer status on all rides and equipment in assigned areas.</li>\n <li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and a six-day workweek, as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>Any and all other duties that are assigned or necessary in order to support the Operations Department and the park as a whole. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to sit and stand or walk for long periods of time throughout the day.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work outdoors at various times throughout the season.</li>\n <li>Certain locations require the ability to climb to and work at heights reaching 208 feet.</li>\n <li>Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, hand/eye coordination, near vision, hearing and speech.</li>\n <li>Requires occasional kneeling and bending.</li>\n <li>Requires occasional walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.</li>\n <li>Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 100 pounds.</li>\n <li>Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.</li>\n <li>Work environment: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
