This role builds on foundational engineering experience and provides increasing responsibility in project planning, design, and construction support.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Graduate Engineer II works closely with <strong>Project Managers, Project Engineers, and multidisciplinary teams</strong> to support design development, field investigations, and project execution while continuing to build technical expertise and professional judgment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position is either hybrid or onsite at any of our Wisconsin offices.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At MSA, we believe great people build great communities. We foster a collaborative environment where curiosity, innovation, and professional growth are encouraged.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h3>Mechanical Engineering Design</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Assist with the planning and design of <strong>wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and mechanical process systems</strong></p></li>\n <li><p>Perform engineering calculations and analyses related to mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, and process infrastructure</p></li>\n <li><p>Support preparation of <strong>design reports, technical memoranda, and engineering documentation</strong></p></li>\n <li><p>Assist with development of <strong>mechanical layouts, specifications, and construction drawings</strong></p></li>\n <li><p>Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams to integrate mechanical systems into project designs</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Project Support</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Execute assigned engineering tasks with increasing independence while applying sound engineering principles</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist Project Managers and Project Engineers with project planning, scheduling, and task coordination</p></li>\n <li><p>Support development of cost estimates, project documentation, and technical reports</p></li>\n <li><p>Monitor assigned task schedules and communicate progress or potential issues</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in project team meetings and contribute technical input</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Field Work & Construction Support</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Conduct field investigations and site visits to collect engineering data</p></li>\n <li><p>Support construction observation and assist with documentation of project progress</p></li>\n <li><p>Coordinate with contractors and field personnel during project implementation</p></li>\n <li><p>Assist with reviewing contractor submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation</p></li>\n <li><p>Support troubleshooting and technical problem-solving during construction</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Collaboration & Continuous Improvement</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure high-quality design deliverables</p></li>\n <li><p>Participate in client meetings and contribute to technical discussions</p></li>\n <li><p>Support mentoring and collaboration with entry-level staff</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain awareness of project budgets, schedules, and quality expectations</p></li>\n <li><p>Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and engineering practices</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h3>Education</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering</strong> from an ABET-accredited program</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Experience</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>2+ years of relevant post-graduate engineering experience</strong></p></li>\n <li><p>Experience supporting <strong>municipal infrastructure, water, or wastewater projects</strong> preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience using <strong>CADD/BIM, GIS, and engineering analysis software</strong> preferred</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Skills</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Understanding of engineering principles related to mechanical systems and municipal infrastructure</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to perform engineering calculations and support design documentation</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong technical writing and communication skills</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to manage multiple project tasks and priorities</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Licensure</h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Engineer in Training (EIT/EI) certification required or ability to obtain</strong></p></li>\n</ul>\n<h3>Why MSA</h3>\n<p>At MSA, our people are our greatest asset.
