Senior Mechanical Engineer, Industrial / Mining

This role is focused on technical leadership - guiding complex mechanical design efforts, collaborating across disciplines, and mentoring developing engineers. What You’ll Do Lead mechanical design for industrial facilities, including mining and production operations Design and oversee systems including: Industrial ventilation and dust collection Process piping, pumping, and plumbing Balance-of-plant and material handling support systems Scope project requirements, verify calculations, and validate equipment selection Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and architectural teams Mentor and support early‑career engineers Support construction administration and site visits as needed Contribute to project coordination, client interactions, or proposals Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) registration required 8+ years of mechanical design experience in heavy industrial or mining environments Strong experience leading design efforts and mentoring junior engineers Experience leading technical design efforts across disciplines Strong communication skills and interest in mentoring others Ability to travel occasionally (generally up to ~20%). Valid driver's license Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and/or Plant 3D preferred Previous design experience in mining or industrial facilities
