The incumbent will contribute to the university through teaching 22-24 undergraduate credits per academic year in a manner faithful to scripture, tradition, and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church; student academic advising; scholarship; and service. The course load will be primarily introductory and advanced theology courses for general education, but may also include interdisciplinary general education courses and/or honors courses. While all specializations are welcome to apply, a solid competency in the theology of St. Thomas Aquinas and Catholic Biblical Studies is particularly desirable. Applicants who are ABD status with a defense date set may be considered.</li>\n <li>Preference may be given to applicants with undergraduate teaching experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Knowledge & Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Catholic Theology and Scriptural Studies</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Sedentary work.</strong> Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
