Auto Line Machine Operator (2nd Shift)

Position Summary Crescent Machine Operator is responsible to perform machine operation duties committed to meeting all our customer’s need, and people’s needs. Ensuring he operators as outlined in the Crescent Way- 3 P’s: Purpose Process People While building on our culture of: Doing it Right Doing it Safe Doing it Well Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safety Read and understand the Crescent Safety Playbook – Doing it Safe Ensure a safe work environment is maintained Engage in the Safety Observation process Ensure a preventive maintenance tasks are completed one time and correctly Ensure all equipment is operating safely Ensure all line work and machine tasks are being completed in a safe manner Ensure a clean and organized workspace, and hold themselves to a high standard and lives the “leave work areas better than found them”. Continually seek out and remove forms of risk created by our equipment and equipment setup People Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting capabilities Be a leader in training for all other personnel at Crescent who will interact and or operate with equipment. Recognize to ensure each person feels appreciated for the value they provide Lead people to encourage maximum performance and dedication Productivity Perform tasks associated with setup and preventative maintenance of the equipment Ensure all line setup are done correctly, safely and on time Look for and create Continuous improvement ideas Provide a first level of troubleshooting and machine diagnostic when equipment is not performing properly Be able to setup and operate any auxiliary equipment such as labelers and printers Communicate issues and opportunities to the site Production Leader or Supervisors Lead Equipment Changeovers Quality Ensure all equipment is operating in a manner that produces quality product Communicate any suspected quality issues to the appropriate person Participate in root cause analysis on quality issues and be part of corrective action development Provide consultation along with Quality leader and Ops leadership on all new builds to ensure “quality at the source” design. Customer Value Ensure the proper care and use of equipment – Crescent and Customer owned equipment Provide real time support to customer trials, samples and visits Financial Be knowledgeable of impact of equipment costs on Crescent Use equipment, support and other materials appropriately Cultural Competencies Do It Right Doing what is right for our Customers, doing what is right for our Company and doing what is right for our People.
