This 116-year-old, non-profit organization has an annual operating budget of over $70 million dollars and generates revenue through four activity streams: the 15-day annual summer Fair which averages more than 700,000 people annually, Playland amusement park which welcomes 400,000 guests annually including Fright Nights, and a busy year-round portfolio of events including concerts, trade shows and film, cultural and community events. In total we bring over 2 million people through the site each year. The fourth activity stream is park care and facility maintenance. What will you do this year? In your role as a Marketing Coordinator , your primary accountabilities will be to: Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, email, and traditional channels in support of PNE events, attractions, experiences, and corporate initiatives. Own PNE’s social marketing efforts, including: Planning and managing social content calendars Creating, publishing, and activating platform‑specific content across TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, and emerging platforms Community management and audience engagement Performance tracking, reporting, and optimization based on insights Develop and execute email marketing campaigns, including content development, scheduling, deployment, and performance measurement. Create high‑quality written and visual content for social media, email, website, and promotional materials, ensuring brand consistency and audience relevance. Lead content marketing initiatives, including: Influencer partnerships User‑generated content programs Publisher and brand collaborations Content planning, activation, and performance reporting Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics across social, email, and content initiatives, translating data into actionable insights and recommendations. Collaborate closely with internal teams, external agencies, and media partners to ensure cohesive messaging, brand alignment, and on‑time execution. Stay ahead of digital trends, platform updates, and best practices, bringing forward new ideas, formats, and approaches to keep PNE’s marketing fresh and relevant. Take on special projects and initiatives that support professional development, experimentation, and the expansion of marketing skills. What else? Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; or proven track record in content creation and social media management. Minimum 1 year of experience in marketing, social media management, content creation, or a related role. Proven ability to create engaging social media content (writing, photography, videography, and editing), including the ability and confidence to act as an on‑screen host or personality for branded content. Demonstrated experience working with email marketing platforms (e.g., content creation, scheduling, deployment, and basic performance reporting). Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools, with a particular interest in new and emerging platforms. Experience with digital advertising, SEO, and email marketing is considered an asset. Proficiency in design and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), and/or CapCut is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to brand tone and storytelling. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Passion for entertainment, live events, and creating memorable experiences for diverse audiences. Availability to work evenings and weekends, as required for events, activations, and content capture. This role is required to be on-site at the PNE a minimum of 3 days/week A valid BC driver’s license is an asset Successful candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check. Who are you?
