We are seeking an experienced scientist to take a key role in advancing preclinical discovery of its Glyph prodrug platform across a range of indications. The ideal candidate will have a roll up your sleeve’s mentality, contributing to a bioanalytical program to rigorously elucidate the functionality of a novel lipid prodrug platform and contribute to the selection of a program’s development candidates. This scientist may contribute beyond bioanalysis, i.e. expanding DMPK and ADME functions. The ideal candidate will embrace a collaborative, innovative culture that embodies our values of service to patients impacted by mental health conditions, with a “we own it” mentality, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and technical excellence while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement. This position is based in Boston’s Seaport area and will be an in-office role 5 days a week and report to the Associate Director, Bioanalytical Sciences. Responsibilities: Support the development and optimization of bioanalytical methods (e.g. LC/MS) to evaluate concentration of API, metabolites, and related species across multiple small and large animal species Manage execution of method development and sample analysis across multiple external CROs and collaborators Assist in design and selection of methods of sample extraction and analysis across a range of matrices including lymph, plasma, and solid tissues Perform pharmacokinetic analysis of data, communicate results, provide scientific interpretations and recommendations to cross-functional project teams and leadership Contribute to the development or application of relevant pharmacokinetic models to add fundamental understanding where appropriate Manage day-to-day research activities with increasing independence while ensuring alignment with departmental and company priorities Coordinating bioanalytical laboratory operations including maintenance and sourcing of laboratory equipment, interfacing with lab safety or operations teams, and supply/inventory management. Foster a scientific culture of collaboration, innovation, rigor, and transparency Actively participate in team meetings, and contribute to reports and patent applications Qualifications: MS/PhD degree in analytical chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis with 3+ years for PhD, or 8+ years for MS. Track record of supporting the development and validation of bioanalytical LC-MS/MS methods designed at standards ranging from “fit-for-purpose” through GLP. Analysis of prodrugs and associated species highly desirable Hands-on familiarity running and maintaining industry-standard mass spectrometry instrumentation Understanding of FDA and global regulatory requirements of study types assigned, as well as Testing Facility SOPs and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), as appropriate. Highly motivated and results driven individual with a passion for working in a fast-paced and evolving organization Experience with CROs and managing outsourced studies critical Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and partnering skills Excellent cross-disciplinary skills in communicating scientific ideas to non-scientist stakeholders to foster collaboration and deliverable-based teamwork Startup experience is highly valued.
