About this Role Senior Cost Specialist - Project Controls & EVM Reporting In Office- M-F: 650 From Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 Up to 10% domestic travel QISG leverages Quanta’s comprehensive resources to deliver collaborative solutions for our partners' energy infrastructure needs. We use in-house talent, expertise, and resources to plan, design, engineer, manage, maintain, and construct critical energy infrastructure projects. Our team integrates Engineering, Safety, Quality, Procurement, Scheduling, and Project Controls expertise to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution. About this Role As a Senior Cost Specialist – Project Controls, EVM & Cost Performance Reporting, you will drive cost control and financial performance across large, multi-year utility EPC capital projects. You will partner closely with Project Managers, Project Controls, Engineering, and Construction teams to ensure accurate cost visibility, manage financial risk, and support data-driven decision-making across complex grid infrastructure programs What You'll Do Track and control costs across EPC industrial projects Leverage JD Edwards, EcoSys, Procore, Excel, and Power BI for job cost tracking and reporting Manage budget vs. actuals, forecasts, and cost trends across multi-year capital programs Develop and maintain EACs and ETCs to support forecasting and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting Analyze CPI (Cost Performance Index) and SPI (Schedule Performance Index) to assess project performance and identify risks early Support change management including change orders, budget adjustments, and cost impacts Provide EVM-based dashboards, cost reports, and forecasts for leadership and stakeholders Ensure compliance with Project Controls Execution Plans and company standards Act as a trusted cost advisor, supporting continuous improvement in cost performance management What You'll Bring 4+ years of project cost control or project controls experience in EPC and/or heavy industrial construction Strong experience in cost forecasting, budget management, change management, and cost/schedule performance analysis Hands-on experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, including CPI, SPI, and variance analysis Experience in capital project environments (utility, infrastructure, or construction strongly preferred) Advanced Excel skills; experience with JDE and/or EcoSys required, Procore preferred Ability to translate complex cost data into clear, actionable insights for leadership Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field What You'll Get Competitive base salary Generous PTO & paid holidays to maintain work-life balance 401(k) with a generous match to plan for your future Comprehensive benefits – medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Weekly pay for consistent, reliable compensation Great mentoring & career growth opportunities – we invest in your development#LI-SM1 Compensation Range The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $103,000.00/Yr. - USD $158,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
