This role focuses on delivering technically sound, constructible designs for utility-scale solar, electrical substations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and related infrastructure projects.</p>\n<p>As an employee-owner, you will contribute to the development of site civil design packages from planning through construction support while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills in grading, drainage, hydrology, and stormwater design, along with demonstrated experience supporting energy and infrastructure projects within a consulting environment.</p>\n<p>This position is well suited for an engineer with approximately 6+ years of experience who enjoys solving site development challenges and supporting projects that advance critical energy infrastructure.</p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities  </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support civil engineering design for energy and infrastructure projects, including solar facilities, electrical substations, and battery energy storage systems.</li>\n <li>Prepare site civil design components, including:Site layout and grading plansDrainage and stormwater management systemsHydrology and hydraulic analysesErosion and sediment control designStormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) and Best Management Practices (BMPs)</li>\n <li>Perform stormwater modeling and hydrologic analyses to support permitting and regulatory compliance.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to deliver designs aligned with scope, schedule, and budget.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, structural, environmental, and permitting specialists.</li>\n <li>Prepare technical calculations, reports, and construction documents for client and agency submittals.</li>\n <li>Support client and agency coordination during design development and permitting.</li>\n <li>Participate in QA/QC reviews and incorporate technical feedback into project deliverables.</li>\n <li>Assist with construction-phase support activities as needed.</li>\n <li>Contribute to development and improvement of civil design standards, workflows, and best practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.</li>\n <li>6+ years of progressive civil engineering experience supporting energy and infrastructure projects, such as utility-scale solar, electrical substations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), or similar developments.</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity as needed.</li>\n <li>Experience preparing site civil design plans and technical calculations for energy or infrastructure projects.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience with grading design, drainage systems, and stormwater management.</li>\n <li>Experience performing hydrology or stormwater modeling.</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of permitting and regulatory compliance requirements related to infrastructure development.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Dudek’s driving requirements.</li>\n <li>Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience working in multidisciplinary consulting environments.</li>\n <li>Experience preparing SWPPPs, erosion control plans, or stormwater reports.</li>\n <li>Proficiency with stormwater and hydrologic modeling tools (e.g., HydroCAD, Storm Sewer, or similar).</li>\n <li>Strong technical writing and client communication skills.</li>\n <li>Interest in continued professional growth toward technical leadership or project management responsibilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong> $100,000-$120,000 annually </p>\n<p>*Final agreed-upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check prior to beginning employment. </p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>This job requires occasional project site visits, based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, and moving vehicles and equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements </strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
