Continue to scroll to see our full benefits package!</p>\n<p>Travel assignments can be placed anywhere within our organization, and we operate in 10 states with a variety of settings! We will offer a monthly travel stipend in addition to a competitive salary.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review and evaluate physician’s referral and patient’s medical records to determine speech-language therapy program required.</li>\n <li>Evaluate each patient’s current level of functioning using approved speech-language/swallow evaluation techniques, tests and observations, and prepare written treatment program based on evaluations.</li>\n <li>Administer a prescribed speech therapy program to restore and maintain maximum function and prevent disability using a range of therapeutic modalities.</li>\n <li>Coordinate speech therapy services and information presented at the interdisciplinary team conference with physical therapy, occupational therapy and the nursing department.</li>\n <li>Assist in formulating of policies and operating procedures necessary for the effective operation of the speech program in conjunction with other programs in the community.</li>\n <li>Develop program goals and assess the need for clinical equipment and supplies, and participate in budget planning and preparation as described by the community.</li>\n <li>Assume primary responsibility for the management and documentation of the patient/client program according to ASHA Standards of Care.</li>\n <li>Monitor productivity and speech language staffing needs.</li>\n <li>Complete all required clinical and billing documentation as indicated and submit in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Adhere to Symbria Rehab’s mission, Code of Conduct, and policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Maintain productivity standards.</li>\n <li>Adhere to terms and conditions of travel assignment contract.</li>\n <li>Available and willing to travel to any location where Symbria provides contracted therapy services.</li>\n <li>Must be able to provide own transportation between patient visits and travel assignments.</li>\n <li>Any and all duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily is necessary and the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school.</li>\n <li>A valid registered license is required for Symbria's operating states, or the ability to obtain a license or compact license to support assignments in any designated state.</li>\n <li>If using a compact license, must have a full license in your state of residence.</li>\n <li>Understanding of communication disorders resulting from neurological impairments.</li>\n <li>Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills.</li>\n <li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.</li>\n <li>Effective interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service.</li>\n <li>Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.</li>\n <li>Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). (Preferred but not required!)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>TRAVEL ASSIGNMENT INFORMATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assignments will be based on 13-week internal contracts. Once an assignment is complete there will be an option to extend the assignment or to be placed at another Symbria location. Terms of the contract are based on company and staffing needs.</li>\n <li>Each assignment is eligible for a monthly living stipend based on location and travel.</li>\n <li>Continuous assignments are guaranteed for one year.
