    "description": "<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Estimator - Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Function:</span>  Estimators are responsible for analyzing drawings and specifications in order to produce an estimate of the time and cost of the materials, labor, subcontractors, and equipment required to submit Lump Sum, Unit Price, and Construction Management proposals.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Educational Background:  </span>Bachelor's Degree - or - Equivalent combination of technical training and experience.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Practical Knowledge:  </span>Math and Complex Calculations, Construction Means &amp; Methods, Critical Thinking as it applied to the breakdown and interpretation of specifications and plans and how this information impacts the overall estimate, Quantitative Take Offs, Data Analysis, Jurisdictional topics like climate, taxes, labor forces, and environmental regulations, Organizational Methods, Writing and Verbal Communication Skills.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Experience:  </span>Bachelor's Degree in construction or engineering related field preferred - or Demonstrated knowledge of, or experience with, basic estimating and take-off principals.  Minimum 3 years experience preparing estimates for water treatment plant or wastewater treatment plant construction projects preferred.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Computer Skills Applied:  </span>Microsoft Office Products a must.  Cloud Based Applications, Construction Estimating Software, and Scheduling Software helpful.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Successful Personality Traits:  </span>Even tempered, detail oriented, highly competitive, concise communicator, and analytical thinker with keen intuition in how to estimate and forecast the cost of building materials, labor, and the construction means and methods necessary to produce an accurate estimate for projects as described in specifications and plan sets prepared by an architect or engineer.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Travel:  </span>None to light day time travel </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Direct Reports:</span>  None</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:  </span>Competitive package commensurate with experience includes health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The culture at Rice Lake Construction Group focuses on safety, integrity, and quality.  Employees are the company's greatest asset, and every effort is made to cultivate a good work-life balance and family-focused atmosphere.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As an employee, you can expect:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support from a company with over 30 years in business.</li>\n<li>Employees hired for a career, not a job.</li>\n<li>A harmonious atmosphere with people who like to work and solve problems.  <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><em>The right people attract even better people!</em></span></li>\n<li>Competitive benefits.</li>\n<li>Work-life balance.</li>\n</ul>",
