Communicate effectively with the YMCA staff</p><p>and members.</p><p>KNOW-HOW</p><p>First Aid, CPR, and U. S. Diving experience recommended. Ability to communicate effectively and</p><p>professionally with staff and members is important.</p><p><br></p><p>PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES</p><p><br></p><p>&bull; 2-6 hours per week: coaching and program work.</p><p>&bull; Maintain CPR / First Aid</p><p>&bull; Maintain a coaching role for Level 1-3 program.</p><p>&bull; Fill in for Levels 4-9 on an as need basis.</p><p><br></p><p>&bull; Assist in the promotion and marketing of the age group Whirlwind Diving Team.</p><p>&bull; Supervise and safely coach participants during class.</p><p>&bull; Assist in overall planning of workouts, training, and conditioning within the program.</p><p>&bull; Aid in the recruitment of future athletes at the Fairfield County Swim League and the Westchester</p><p>Championships.</p><p>&bull; Report any accidents or incidents to director as they occur.</p><p>&bull; Inventory equipment daily for safety concerns.</p><p>&bull; Be a role model and demonstrate the YMCA Four Core Values of Honesty, Responsibility, Respect,</p><p>and Caring.</p><p>Revised 8/2020</p><p>&bull; Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor.</p><p>&bull; Job Description may be changed at any time by supervisor.</p><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to climb, balance, kneel, reach,</p><p>stand, walk, lift, talk, hear, swim, and sit.</p><p>The incumbent must also regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds while performing their job functions.</p><p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close/far vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and</p><p>the ability to adjust focus.</p><p>Acute hearing is essential to this position.</p><p>WORK ENVIRONMENT</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, this individual maybe occasionally exposed to a wet and/or humid</p><p>environment.</p><p>In this position, this person will not be frequently required to work in outside weather conditions.</p><p>EFFECT ON END RESULT</p><p><br></p><p>Assist in the organization, promotion, and development of an efficient and effective diving team program to</p><p>encourage enjoyable youth participation and retention.</p><p>All participants will have fun and enjoy the sport of Gymnastics and Diving.</p><p>All participants will get exposure to the YMCA Core Values.</p>\n    </div>\n  </div></div>\n",
