With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.</li><li>Contributes to the implementation of resident and patient care plans and assists in attaining the highest degree of functional independence.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees.&nbsp;</li><li>Interacts with customers/visitors in a warm and friendly manner.</li><li>Instills confidence in patients by maintaining a neat appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Observes and reports any resident and patient changes to the nurse to ensure professional assessment and proper documentation. Changes include but not limited to conditions changes, behaviors or complaints.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Effectively Communicates:</li><li>with residents and patients in a kind and caring manner to provide and gather pertinent information in order to implement quality care.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>with charge nurse, other NAR staff on and off unit, and other departments</li><li>utilizes formal tools within the department: the communication book, meeting minutes, meeting attendance, report offs, and notices on bulletin boards.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Documents direct care accurately, completely and timely.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Compliance to facility policies and procedures</li><li>Infection Prevention</li><li>Emergency Preparedness</li><li>Quality Improvement</li><li>Aware of state and federal regulations that pertain to the delivery of long term care and/or hospital services.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance.</li><li>Maintains a safe environment for residents, patients and co-workers; transports residents and patients according to their needs and uses equipment appropriately and safely.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Continuing Education: Attends staff meetings, mandatory in-services and meets annual continuing education requirements.
