Electronic medical records experience may also be required.</li>\n <li>This position requires travel to other sites and locations; if using a personal vehicle to meet this requirement, a valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.</li>\n <li>Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPOSBC locations and by all PPOSBC employees, and supporting these critical services is an essential job duty and fundamental responsibility of all employees.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><u>Essential Functions:</u> Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.</p>\n<p><u>General Requirements:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Adhere to agency’s policies, procedures, and protocols in regards to performing physical exams, procedural skills, judgement, charting and communication with patients. This may include successfully completing agency, regional and/or state certification requirements.</li>\n <li>Adhere to all OSHA requirements.</li>\n <li>Provide clinical and surgical services as outlined in the PPOSBC Medical Standards and Guidelines, Standardized Procedures, and Policies and Procedures, and any other guidelines recommended by the affiliate.</li>\n <li>Meet quality metrics and goals.</li>\n <li>Participate in a team approach to patient care, and deliver care in a professional, confidential, and expeditious manner.</li>\n <li>Act as resource person to medical staff.</li>\n <li>Adhere to affiliate goals and policies on professionalism, wait time in-clinic, and on the system for addressing client complaints.</li>\n <li>Use nonjudgmental approach to patient care.</li>\n <li>Demonstrate teamwork and dependability with colleagues.</li>\n <li>Attend medical meetings, as required.</li>\n <li>May be deployed to other sites including San Bernardino County locations.</li>\n <li>Required to take after-hour calls (on-call rotation). </li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Heath Center Duties:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Meet or exceed customer satisfaction survey benchmarks as set by the Patient Services Administration team.</li>\n <li>Participate in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity, cycle times, and wait times.</li>\n <li>Document patient data accurately and completely in the medical record.</li>\n <li>Provide pregnancy test, contraception, and STI treatment visits per RN Standardized Procedures, as approved.</li>\n <li>Dispense/administer medications and contraceptive devices as per physician/clinician or standing orders.</li>\n <li>Provide information and education regarding reproductive health care; family planning, pre-term labor, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, postpartum care, abortion procedure (surgical & medical) and discharge instructions.</li>\n <li>Monitor lab reconciliation process per policy. Review lab reports and initiate follow-up. Provide laboratory tests as needed, including phlebotomy.</li>\n <li>Manage emergency situations as they arise in the center and consult with other licensed providers as necessary.</li>\n <li>Daily performance of controls and completion of control logs for moderate complexity tests.</li>\n <li>Daily monitoring and recording of medication, controls, and specimen refrigerators for temperature accuracy.</li>\n <li>Manage medication inventory including ordering, and confirmation of expiration dates when stocking and administering medications.</li>\n <li>Assist with clinic upkeep: sterilization of instruments, cleaning lab, and exam rooms, set up and restocking rooms as appropriate.</li>\n <li>Complete and submit incident report when necessary.</li>\n <li>Perform monthly chart audits, as required.</li>\n <li>Participate in a regularly scheduled peer review process, as required.</li>\n <li>Cross-train with case management duties. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Surgical Duties:</u></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide continuity of care for abortion services in a patient-centered flow environment.</li>\n <li>Counsel and perform physical exams on abortion patients.</li>\n <li>Review medical history and perform pre-operative assessment.</li>\n <li>Perform Ultrasound.</li>\n <li>Perform appropriate lab work.</li>\n <li>Insertion and removal of IV line.</li>\n <li>Provide contraceptive counseling.</li>\n <li>Provide conscious sedation.</li>\n <li>Perform recovery room responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Review discharge orders and counsel patients on discharge instructions.</li>\n <li>Assist Sedation Provider with opening and closing narcotic inventory management.</li>\n <li>Assist Physicians and other licensed staff as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><u>Non-Essential Functions</u>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</u></strong></p>\n<p>The physical requirements of this position are identified below.
