    "description": "<p>Are you interested in joining the Toronto Blue Jays Engineering<em> Team?</em><em> </em> This is your chance.  The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Plumber.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Ballpark plumber plays a critical role in ensuring the proper function of plumbing systems and fixtures within the stadium. Your responsibilities revolve around maintaining, repairing, and installing plumbing infrastructure to provide clean water supply and efficient drainage throughout the facility.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This role may be for you if</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>You are looking for a safe space to grow and strengthen your plumbing experience.</li>\n<li>You enjoy working with a collaborative team of forward-thinking individuals and working independently when required.</li>\n<li>You thrive on providing results and solutions alongside while maintaining a best in class facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct regular inspections of the ballparks plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and faucets to identify potential issues.</li>\n<li>Address plumbing problems such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures promptly to prevent disruptions during events.</li>\n<li>perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on all equipment used in concessions, including cooking appliances (grills, fryers), refrigerators, freezers, beverage dispensers, and food preparation stations etc.</li>\n<li>Repair or replace damaged or worn-out plumbing components to maintain optimal performance.</li>\n<li>Maintain and clean drainage systems, including stormwater drains, gutters, and downspouts, to prevent flooding and water accumulation.</li>\n<li>Address sewage system issues and ensure proper disposal of wastewater to prevent environmental hazards.</li>\n<li>Install and maintain plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, urinals, water fountains, and water dispensers.</li>\n<li>Ensure that all fixtures are in good working condition, properly sealed, and free from leaks.</li>\n<li>Be prepared to respond to plumbing emergencies, such as burst pipes or sewage backups, during events or regular operations.</li>\n<li>Take quick and appropriate action to mitigate damages and restore normal plumbing functionality.</li>\n<li>Maintain an inventory of plumbing supplies, tools, and spare parts needed for repairs and installations.</li>\n<li>Replenish supplies as needed to ensure the availability of necessary resources.</li>\n<li>By efficiently managing the stadium's plumbing systems, a stadium plumber helps create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for visitors and staff. They play a significant role in ensuring that essential amenities, such as restrooms and concession stands, function properly, contributing to the overall positive experience of those attending events at the ballpark.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>Must be available to work home games (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and other Rogers Centre concerts/events as required.</em></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid plumber license – 306A.</li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures, complete familiarity with current industry standard.</li>\n<li>Thorough knowledge of equipment used in concession areas, including gas cooking appliance, walk-ins, refrigerators, freezers, beverage dispensers, Nella equipment, ecology units and other concession related equipment.</li>\n<li>Versatile skills required to operate and repair a variety of building equipment.</li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.</li>\n<li>Good mechanical, analytical, research and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Self-starter with practical judgment and a decisive manner.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of computer and related programs: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.</li>\n<li>Ability to operate Lift Truck, Scissor-Lift, Boom-Lift and Propane Handling.
