As project delivery models, regulatory frameworks, supply chains, and technology continue to evolve, our ability to stay flexible and agile in our construction approach is essential to our success.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.</li>\n <li>Familiar with data sources and supports basic schedule development. </li>\n <li>Supports analysis of schedule, identifies and investigates project schedule variances. </li>\n <li>Collects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports. </li>\n <li>Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development. </li>\n <li>Supports gathering and assembling data for schedule updating. </li>\n <li>Supports measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating. </li>\n <li>Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance. </li>\n <li>Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.</li>\n <li>Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic. </li>\n <li>Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.</li>\n <li>Supports monthly report preparation.</li>\n <li>May participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues. </li>\n <li>Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field + 4 years of relevant project scheduling experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in P6 scheduling software.</li>\n <li>Experience scheduling Heavy civil infrastructure projects (bridge structures, rail/transit projects, dams, piers, water/wastewater treatment plants etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>6+ years' project scheduling experience. </li>\n <li>Scheduling experience on two projects within the past 5 years related to heavy civil construction. </li>\n <li>Experience in heavy civil or industrial EPC/maintenance projects, specifically in cost control, planning and scheduling positions, or previous field engineering experience with emphasis on reporting and tracking of productivity and costs. </li>\n <li>Experience in setup of work breakdown structure and establishing levels of control.</li>\n <li>Experience in cost analysis, forecasting, progress measurement and earned value performance (EVMS).</li>\n <li>Experience in risk analysis, contingency management, change control, and Time-Impact Analysis.</li>\n <li>Experience with alternative project delivery methodologies (CM/GC, CMAR, Progressive Design-Build, etc.).</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a project team environment.</li>\n <li>Software experience including CMIC, MS Office Excel, or other EVMS programs (Deltek Cobra, PRISM, etc.).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Additional Information:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</li>\n <li>This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The salary range for this position is between $115,000 - $160,000 per year depending on experience and/or education. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA.
