Kids in the Game sport and enrichment-based programs can be found in schools and communities across New York City, serving thousands of children every year. ABOUT THE MARKETING INTERNSHIP
The Marketing Intern will play a role in assisting our Marketing & Development Team to communicate with our families, schools, partners, and team members. They will be a valuable part of the Marketing team, reporting to the Marketing Coordinator. Their core functions will include family/school outreach, social media efforts, parent communication (via phone and email), and digital marketing efforts.
Kids in the Game offers seasonal internships throughout the year. Internships are typically 14-18 weeks long and Interns would be expected to work between 25-35 hours per week in person at our office location. Below are the dates for each season.
Fall 2025 : September 8th - December 19th
Spring 2026 : January 12th - May 15th
Summer 2025 : May 18th - August 21st
Compensation : Internships are unpaid opportunities for first term Interns. There is a $200-$300 completion bonus for unpaid interns. There are also potential opportunities to extend for a second term, paid internship. We can also offer class credit where applicable.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist in creating communications using Canva and HubSpot for assets including direct mail, flyers, and email communications.
Develop and manage projects related to social media platforms.
Visit existing programs to take photographs, videos, etc. for creative marketing materials.
Assist the Marketing Team with administrative tasks to capture and secure inbound leads.
Support the Marketing Team with all summer camp initiatives and preparation activities.

Qualifications
OUR INTERN EXPECTATIONS
Our ideal candidate would meet some or all of the following qualifications:
The Marketing intern must be able to work within a team environment and independently. They will be called upon to assist in solving problems for our families and go above and beyond to promote safety, fun, and a family spirit.
The Marketing intern is expected to communicate quickly and efficiently with direct manager and other leadership team members. Use of organization-wide communication channels and policies are required (Slack, Email, Google Calendar, others as assigned).
The Marketing interns are encouraged to pursue outside learning, formal training, conferences, networking events, and other professional growth opportunities.
Other required skillsets for the Marketing Intern include:
Administrative skills in Excel and Google Sheets
Customer service experience is a plus
Design and creative skills, specifically using Canva
Knowledge of social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook
Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and contribute to team projects

They will be a valuable part of the Marketing team, reporting to the Marketing Coordinator. Their core functions will include family/school outreach, social media efforts, parent communication (via phone and email), and digital marketing efforts.\\r\\n\\r\\nKids in the Game offers seasonal internships throughout the year. Internships are typically 14-18 weeks long and Interns would be expected to work between 25-35 hours per week in person at our office location.
