    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Manager- Single Family Programs</u></strong></p><p>The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) was established in 1974 to better respond to the County&rsquo;s need for affordable housing. HOC is authorized to acquire, own, lease, and operate housing; to provide for the construction or renovation of housing; obtain financial assistance from any public or private source to assist its housing activities; and arrange for social services, resident services, and daycare.</p><p><strong><u>Job Description:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>The Single Family Programs, Manager is a senior-level professional position with responsibility for managing multifamily operations of the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County.</p><p>This position is responsible for supporting wealth creation in Montgomery County through HOC&rsquo;s Strategic Plan. The incumbent is responsible for managing the operations of the single-family program operations. &nbsp;The single-family operations include the management of the Mortgage Purchase Program, down payment assistance programs, and coordinating the activities with Compliance, Legal, and Finance. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>The incumbent will have extensive knowledge of single-family mortgage programs, taxable and tax-exempt bond financing processes, and the underwriting and servicing of single-family mortgages. &nbsp;The incumbent will be responsible for the development and presentation of materials for various meetings, including but not limited to the Commission and committees of the Commission. &nbsp;The incumbent will be responsible for the preparation of quarterly and ad hoc reports as required.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Example of Duties:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Manage and oversee single-family operations of the Mortgage Finance Division, including interaction with internal and external stakeholders such as Trustee, Financial Advisor, Bond Counsel, Loan Servicers, Lenders, Realtors, HOC Staff, HOC Commissioners, local Government staff representatives, among others.</li><li>Supervise single-family personnel.</li><li>Develop and coordinate internal and external training and orientation programs related to HOC&rsquo;s single-family mortgage programs</li><li>Evaluate current and new applicants for HOCs Mortgage Purchase Program.</li><li>Responsible for the preparation of quarterly reports to the Commission.</li><li>Act as subject matter expert regarding single-family mortgage activities and programs, including mortgage-backed securities.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>At least Ten years of progressively responsible experience in single-family mortgage operations, including underwriting, closing, and servicing, both in direct loans and mortgage-backed securities. Experience in mortgage finance with state and local finance agencies.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Education:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor&#39;s degree in either Finance, Investments or in a related field</li><li>An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
