Performs assigned duties in the areas of ground maintenance, golf cart operations, and Pro Shop support.</p>\n<h2> Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Golf Course Maintenance:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Cuts grass and trims weeds using a hand mower or power-driven lawn mower, weed trimmer and brush cutter.</li>\n <li>Maintains fairways, tees, and greens and all adjacent golf course property.</li>\n <li>Performs light maintenance on golf course equipment when needed.</li>\n <li>Trims hedges and prunes trees using hand and power tools.</li>\n <li>Performs leaf cleanup regularly.</li>\n <li>Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks.</li>\n <li>Assists in maintaining the golf course irrigation system.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as assigned, including tasks which support the essential functions of the City’s golf operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Golf Course Rangers:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Greets all golfers and manages tee sheets, including pace of play.</li>\n <li>Enforces all rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf cart(s), and other golf facilities.</li>\n <li>Empties trash and water containers throughout the clubhouse and/or grounds.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned, including tasks that support the essential functions of the City’s golf operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Golf Course Pro Shop:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Greets and checks in all golfers for play.</li>\n <li>Assists in the opening and closing duties of the Pro Shop.</li>\n <li>Enforces all rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf cart(s), and other golf facilities.</li>\n <li>Answers and directs all incoming calls, takes message(s), and delivers when appropriate.</li>\n <li>Cleans, stocks, and ensures all surfaces and displays are clean and attractive to the public.</li>\n <li>Cleans building and grounds, washes windows, and empties trash when needed.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned, including tasks that support the essential functions of the City’s golf operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Golf Course Cart Operations:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Cleans and maintains the fleet of golf carts for continuous play.</li>\n <li>Manages golf cart storage and opens/locks carts daily.</li>\n <li>Empties trash and water containers throughout the clubhouse and/or grounds.</li>\n <li>Cleans building and grounds, washes windows, and empties trash when needed.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned, including tasks that support the essential functions of the City’s golf operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2> Minimum Entrance Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of golf rules and/or operations.</li>\n <li>Customer service experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>Cleanliness and good grooming habits.</li>\n <li>Must have the ability to follow a supervisor’s instructions.</li>\n <li>Must be able to understand and communicate written instructions.</li>\n <li>Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work outside for long periods of time and in all kinds of weather, performing tasks that require physical strength and endurance.</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, positive attitude, professional demeanor, and an easy-going sense of humor.</li>\n <li>A valid Massachusetts driver’s license is preferred.</li>\n <li>Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Must be willing to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>CORI check required</strong></p>\n<p><strong>BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Terms:</strong></p>\n<p>Union/Salary Plan/Grade: Non-Union/Starting salary is $15.00 per hour and up to $28.00 per hour. Hours per week: 40</p>",
